About pegfilgrastim
Pegfilgrastim is a long-acting granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (PEG-GCSF) that helps the body make neutrophils to fight infection. It is typically given once per chemotherapy cycle 24–48 hours after the last dose.
Possible side effects
- Mild bone pain
- Pain or bruising at the injection site
- Allergic reactions (rash, hives, swelling of face or hands, chest tightness, difficulty breathing)
- Not all patients experience these side effects. Report any symptoms.
